Betty Horn was a good friend and member of the Stoney Creek Tennis Club for many years.  Her family supported her love of tennis by paying for her membership for Mother's Day.  Betty played on Ladies' Night and in the Round Robins.  She was a very steady player who delighted in returning winning shots with a little smirk on her face.  Our condolences to Ken and family.

IN CLOSING!

On behalf of the Stoney Creek Tennis Club Executive, I would like to thank all members and guests for making the 2008 season a memorable one.  The courts were full most days and nights, academy shined with kids of all levels, ladies' league and men's league served up some matches worth making the sports news along with tournament competition providing high energy level play.  Whether recreational or competitive, thank you for supporting your community tennis club.
