Death By Tennis Ball - Opening Day May 21st, 2011

Sylvia McCurdy, Social Director of the Stoney Creek Tennis Club, was mysteriously murdered just moments before the opening day barbeque! The suspects, the other 10 executive members, were all at the club that morning to help set up the event. No one saw anything. All members who came out to the event were asked to help us solve this crime! They were in charge of figuring out the murderer and the murder weapon based on clues found through playing cardio tennis and other tennis drills. The murderer was revealed as Andrea Kuchar, the president of the club, who pegged off Sylvia with a high velocity ball from the ball machine! Unfortunately none of our detectives were able to figure this out soon enough and Andrea managed to escape the scene before she could be arrested!

Opening Day 2011 had a great turn out! there were many people who came to the event, participated in the round robin and murder mystery, enjoyed a great meal, and had a great day! This event was the perfect way to kick off another tennis season and we hope to see everyone at other events in the future!
